Interactive map

We have developed an interactive map to help you explore destinations in your area that are within walking distance.

You can drop a pin anywhere on the map to discover a variety of destinations within walking distance of 5-, 10-, 15- or 20-minutes. The map will show you the location of destinations which you can walk to within the time you have selected.  You will also receive a list of these destinations on the top left-hand side of the screen, as well as a list of destination types that are not available within your walking distance.

The walking time and associated distance reflect an average walking pace of approximately 800m in about ten minutes.

EMBED THE MAP (as a visual element)

We hope that, by using this map, you will be inspired to walk more, including for short, local journeys to destinations in your neighbourhood.

If you believe your local neighbourhood could be more walkable, please consider signing our petition, to provide your support for change.

You can compare the walkability of different areas by dropping a pin in different locations and viewing the results.
